Electrolyzer Design Modifications:
I´m from Germany, sorry about my english.
It is my 1st Test. I built it in a few hours. I don´t have any good machines to built professionell. I have a watertank from a lawn mower. I don´t take vinegar. I use Lemon-concentrat 20% extrakt. I need only 0,01G/0,23G( In germany 50ccm/l). 13.2V / 18-25A. But I have a little Problem. After 2-3hours the amps rised down to 7-10A. I think that the lemonextrakt lost its power. I´m testing. But I like it better than baking soda or NOH. I´m surprice about my very cheap design and this very good result. Now I´m building an othen design, because my 1st one is to big for modern cars. there is no space in the engineroom
. In a few day I post some pictures.
Welkommen
I am from the U.S. so mein Duetche sprechen is worse than your English! Ich habt zwei yahre in der schule (?) MANY years ago so I may have used all I remember. I am still building my first unit and have to make adjustments under the hood of my Jeep to make it fit. But right now my budget is used up on getting my exhaust manifold replaced.
Welcome, Stefanuss1. I think
Welcome, Stefanuss1. I think the use of Lemon Juice concentrate (Citric Acid) as an electrolyte is very interesting. I've seen some reports that seem to indicate using citric acid as an electrolyte may have some value in reducing reaction overpotential. This might allow the electrolysis of water to take place at somewhat lower current densities. Anyway, it's certainly worth looking into. Thanks for your contribution. I look forward to any updates.
Thank
Hi Nick and DJ. Thanks for your greetings. I forgot to say that I´m using destilled water. I like it better, because the system doesn´t get so dirty. Yesterday I found a nice man hwo helps me to biold my next electrolyser. Its very compact, so its easyer to use it in modern cars. I hope it works
.
I show you the result.......
